This is the Toyota Auto Body plant in Yoshiwara in Aichi Prefecture (Japan), where the LC 250 Prado and Land Cruiser 70 are produced.
Cars consist of approximately 30,000 parts, which are carefully and expertly crafted at every stage of production.
More than 10,000 vehicles per day are produced in Toyota’s Japan-based plants. They are then shipped to domestic dealerships and around the world.

Could the manual operation of arc welding be replaced by robot welders or is the specific vehicle production volume not sufficient to support robotic conversion?
My favorite LC 70 series better than fortuner, hope i would drive in INDIA before i die
I read somewhere that Toyota's Japanese top management said that American workers are just as hardworking and through with their craft as the Japanese. What's causing issues to American manufacturing is not the workers, but their American bosses who care about the shareholder profit and sees the workers not as teammates but as a party with conflicting interests.
looks like they don't plan to make too many of LC250s, the assembly line is hardly an up to date factory

Japanese made them with care, USA workers hammer them carsโฆ.
Toyota, the best car brand in the world
Best car company in the world.
Excellent
USA ๐บ๐ธ needs the 70 because the 250 Prado is just a light ๐ก cheap versionโฆ we donโt want it โฆ we want the 70โฆ as amazing as Toyotaโs BEST engineโฆ the 2UZFE โฆ which has made it to One Million Miles of Toyota best reliability!
The New Tacoma & Tundras w/ Turbo will NEVER be as reliable as early 2000โs Toyota engines like the One Million Miles on amazing 2UZFE.
the LC79 in beige is my dream car.
Missed quality control. Mine has had rust fixed already under warranty already now Iโve got some rust in the chassis. 10,000 kโs on the clock one year old. Apparently thereโs a lot of 70 series in the warranty lineup at the moment the new facelift model. Iโm trying to be Stoked On it but itโs hard at this point. Toyota needs to put more effort into painting them properly and quality control for the price you pay. Theyโve known for years they are not just commercial vehicles any more. That excuse doesnโt fly no more.

This car is available in our region with two engine options: the more common one is the 4.0L V6 gasoline engine, which is bulletproof but consumes a lot of fuel, and the second is the 2.8L diesel engine, which is much rarer.

To be honest, I would have imagined it to be more automated; there's quite a lot of manual work involved with the bodywork.

I'm amazed by just how much hand finishing they're putting into those 70 series door skins.
That's Aston Martin standard of finishing ๐ ๐.
I hope Iโll soon look at an other similar video, showing how they build a shorter, smaller, less expensive version. ๐
OMG๐this explains why the Japan car quality was better their workers were the human robots ๐
